Description
American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg Tele RN for a night shift assignment requiring NC or compact RN license and at least 1 year of MS/Tele experience.
Details
- 42-bed Med-Surg Telemetry unit
- Patient population includes cardiac, diabetes, CHF, COPD, renal, general surgery, orthopedics, and more
- May care for IMCU patients based on census
- Patient ratio of 1:6
- Team includes RNs, LPNs, PCTs, CNAs/US, and unit secretaries
- Night shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts, 7:00 PM–7:30 AM
- Weekends and holidays required
- No call responsibilities
- Floating to like or lower acuity units as needed
Requirements
- Active NC or compact RN license required in hand at time of consideration
- Certifications: CPI, ACLS, and BLS
- Minimum of 1 year MS/Tele experience required
- Meditech charting experience preferred
- Must be proficient with insulin, heparin, and Lasix drips
Additional Information
- Provide nursing care to a diverse Med-Surg Telemetry patient population
- Block scheduling requests cannot be accommodated
- No RTO accommodated for Christmas Eve or Christmas Day
- Candidates must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to qualify as a traveler
- Monday orientations for new start dates
- First-time travelers may be considered
