Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Telemetry I/IMC Med/Surg night shift position requiring 2 years of critical care step-down experience.
Details
- IMC Med/Surg unit within a hospital setting
- Telemetry/step-down patient population
- Night shift schedule, 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
- Full-time, 13-week assignment
Requirements
- Active RN license (TX or Compact)
- Current BLS and ACLS certification (AHA only)
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a related nursing specialty, including Critical Care Step-Down experience
- BSN preferred
Additional Information
- Provide nursing care using the nursing process, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation
- Administer medications and treatments while monitoring for side effects and effectiveness
- Document patient history, symptoms, medication, and care provided
- Address patient and family psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs
- Assess learning needs and provide education to patients, families, and caregivers
- Must reside within a 50-mile radius of the facility
- Previous CHRISTUS Health employees must have a 6-month separation period before being eligible for a travel assignment
