Description

American Traveler is hiring an RN for an Emergency Department position requiring BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications along with at least 1 year of ED experience.

Details

• Work in a 24-bed Emergency Department within a 143-bed acute care facility
• Primary Stroke Center and Chest Pain Accredited unit with no trauma designation
• Patient population includes all ages with common diagnoses of CHF, COPD, CVA, and Pneumonia
• Patient ratios vary by area: Main area (12 beds) 4:1, Fast Track (5 rooms) 5:1, Extension from main (6 beds) 6:1 with Medic and Charge assist
• Subwaiting room primarily managed by Charge nurse
• Uses Meditech EHR system
• Night shift schedule from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Every other weekend required
• No call requirements
• No floating required

Requirements

• Active RN license (NC or Compact) required
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
• Minimum 1 year of Emergency Department experience required
• ADN required
• Social Security number and date of birth required for consideration
• Active Nursys/licensure verification required at time of consideration

• Provide emergency nursing care across a wide range of acute and critical conditions

• Scrubs of any color permitted; no derogatory expressions on attire allowed
• Candidates must live 60 miles or greater from the facility to qualify for travel rate; local rate available for closer candidates
• Cannot have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months
• Cannot be employed elsewhere full time while on assignment
