Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced PCU Float RN with ED holding experience and FL/compact licensure for a 12-hour day shift role floating within a hospital system.

Details

• Work in the ED Holding/PCU Float unit, caring for patients held in hallway spaces
• Adult and geriatric patient population
• Patient ratios of 4 to 6:1 depending on patient mix
• Uses Epic EMR
• 12-hour day shifts, 3 shifts per week
• Floating required, including to sister campuses within 15-20 minutes of the primary facility
• Travelers are prioritized for floating assignments
• No on-call responsibilities

Requirements

• Active FL or compact RN license required, with recent Nursys verification
• BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of PCU experience required
• ED holding experience required
• Nursing degree accreditation documentation required, or 5 years of experience in lieu of accreditation
• Driver's license address must match address on file with the Board of Nursing
• Required documents for consideration include SS card, DL, and COVID/Flu documentation

Additional Information

• Care for patients in hallway/holding settings within the ED/PCU float role
• Travelers are expected to integrate fully and function as core staff
• Must reside within 50 miles of the facility, strictly enforced
• Candidates may not own or co-sign property within the 50-mile radius
• No block scheduling requests accommodated
• All RTO must be submitted upfront, as it will not be approved after offer
• Orientation begins on a Friday, including remote orientation and an in-person visit for badge/ID
• Galaxy Blue scrubs required
• Hard document deadline is the Monday prior to start date, with no exceptions for pending documents
• Candidates must be flexible and willing to float as a team player
