Description

American Traveler is hiring a PCU Float RN with ED Holding experience for a 12-hour day shift assignment requiring FL or compact RN licensure.

Details

• Work in the ED Holding/PCU Float unit caring for patients held in the hallway
• Adult and geriatric patient population
• Patient ratio of 4 to 6:1 depending on patient mix
• Uses Epic EMR
• 12-hour day shifts, 3 shifts per week
• Floating required, including to sister campuses within 15-20 minutes of the facility
• Travelers are prioritized for floating assignments
• No on-call requirements

Requirements

• Active FL or compact RN license required with recent Nursys report
• BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of PCU experience required
• ED Holding experience required
• ED experience not required
• Must have accredited nursing degree documentation or 5 years of experience in lieu of accreditation proof
• Driver's license address must match address on file with the Board of Nursing

Additional Information

• Care for patients held in the ED hallway as part of the PCU float role
• Must reside within a 50-mile radius of the facility, with strict enforcement including property ownership checks
• Must be flexible and willing to float to sister campuses as needed
• Orientation begins on a Friday with remote components, but candidates must be present in the area on Friday for badge/ID pickup
• All requested time off (RTO) must be submitted in advance and will not be approved after acceptance
• Galaxy Blue scrubs required
• Strong team-player culture where travelers are expected to function as core staff
• No block scheduling requests accommodated
• Candidates must be prepared to secure full-time housing in the area rather than commute from a distance
