Description

American Traveler is hiring a PCU Float RN for a 12hr night shift role requiring ED Holding experience and 2+ years of PCU experience.

Details

• Hospital setting with ED Holding/PCU Float unit assignment
• Adult and geriatric patient population
• Patient ratio of 4-6:1 depending on patient mix
• Patients may be cared for in hallway settings during ED holds
• 12-hour night shifts, 3 shifts per week
• EMR used is Epic
• Floating required, including to sister campuses within 15-20 minutes of each other
• No on-call requirements

Requirements

• Active FL or compact RN license required
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS
• Minimum 2 years of PCU experience required
• ED Holding experience required
• Degree accreditation documentation must be on file, or 5+ years of experience required in lieu of this
• Must be flexible and willing to float as required
• Driver's license address must match address on file with the Board of Nursing

Additional Information

• Provide nursing care to PCU patients including those held in the ED due to capacity
• Travelers are expected to function as core staff and are welcomed into the unit culture
• Floating is required, with travelers prioritized to float first, including to sister campuses
• Must reside within a 50-mile radius of the facility, with strict verification of residency
• All requested time off must be submitted upfront, as RTO will not be approved after submission
• Orientation begins on a Friday, including a remote component and an in-person visit for badge/ID
• Galaxy Blue scrubs required
• Hard document deadline is the Monday prior to start with no exceptions for pending documentation
• First-time travelers may be considered
