Description

American Traveler is hiring a Travel RN - OR for a Main OR with 14 OR suites, requiring 1 year of recent hospital OR experience and current BLS/ACLS certification.

Details

• Work in a Main OR with 14 operating rooms including 1 Hybrid CV OR and 1 Cysto room within a 408-bed hospital
• 1:1 patient ratios maintained in the OR
• Day shift staffing includes 14-16 RNs, 14-16 CSTs, and 2 Clinical Charge RNs
• Night shift staffing includes a Clinical Charge RN, 1 OR RN, and 1 CST with call teams for Neuro, CVOR, and General
• Uses standard OR equipment and Stryker video systems
• Meditech EMR used
• Day shift schedule from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM
• On-call requirement of two 12-hour call shifts per month plus three to four 5p-7p call shifts per month
• Typical procedures include angioplasty, appendectomy, biopsy, and ortho/spine cases
• No transplant procedures performed on this unit

Requirements

• Active RN license (CO or compact) required
• Current BLS and ACLS certification required, AHA or ARC accepted, not expiring within 30 days of start
• Minimum of 1 year current hospital OR experience required
• Circulating and scrubbing experience preferred
• Meditech experience preferred
• No gaps in work history equaling 90 days or more in the past 12 months
• US SSN and DOB required for consideration
• One professional reference required

Additional Information

• Provide direct patient care in a high-volume, multi-specialty Main OR setting
• Collaborate closely with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and OR team members
• Patient experience, strong communication with staff and providers, and adaptability to change are valued traits
• Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility; local candidates will not be considered
