Description

American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist for a Long Term Care setting, requiring 1+ year of PT experience and LTC or Rehab experience.

Details

• Long Term Care/Skilled Nursing Facility setting within the Physical Therapy department
• Day shift, 8-hour shifts, Monday through Friday
• Flexible start times between 6AM and 10AM, as long as consistent and communicated with Director of Rehab
• No weekend work required unless a holiday falls within the Monday-Friday schedule, in which case hours can be made up on the weekend
• No on-call requirements
• Compact license accepted

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of Physical Therapy experience required
• LTC or Rehab setting experience required
• MO state license required if applicable
• New graduates accepted, provided they have completed Level II clinical experience (Level I observation experience not sufficient)
• One professional reference required for consideration

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include screening, evaluating, and rehabilitating patients with physical functioning disorders and/or wound care needs
• Develop and adjust individualized plans of care using standardized assessments and evidence-based practice
• Administer treatments including manual techniques, ambulation, therapeutic exercises, modalities, and use of supportive/assistive devices
• Provide consultation and counseling to patients, families, caregivers, and other service providers
• Communicate regularly with supervisors and healthcare team regarding patient progress and treatment plans
• Document all treatment and regulatory information in the electronic documentation system
• Participate in required meetings such as patient care conferences, utilization review, and rehabilitation meetings
• Supervise and support physical therapist assistants, rehabilitation aides, and/or students as needed
• Adhere to APTA standards and state practice acts, code of conduct, and ethics
• Requests for time off limited to a maximum of 7 days
• Candidates seeking more than 7 days off or more than 50% of holidays off may experience a different processing timeline
