Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery position requiring an active NJ or compact license and 2.5-3 years of recent specialty experience.

Details

• Labor and Delivery unit at a Level III high-risk hospital
• Night shift schedule, 4x12 hours (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM)
• Will consider 36 or 48 hour schedules
• Every other weekend and every other holiday required
• Float to High Risk OB unit as needed, which includes 16 rooms caring for early inductions, antepartum, and continuous monitoring patients
• May be assigned to float to nearby lower-volume hospitals within scope of practice, though floating is uncommon for L&D RNs
• EPIC charting system preferred

Requirements

• Active NJ or compact RN license required, verified via Nursys within 2 weeks of submission
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications required
• 2.5-3 years of recent L&D experience required, within the last 12 months
• Must pass a dysrhythmia exam within 72 hours of start, with only two attempts permitted on a PC (iOS devices not compatible)
• BLS certification must not expire within 30 days of assignment start date
• Must complete pre-employment labs within 48 hours of signing
• Must be clean shaven for fit testing prior to working on the unit

• Scrubs provided by hospital

• No local rate offered for this position
• RTO must be submitted with profile at time of consideration; requests after submission will not be accepted
• No RTO permitted during the first week of assignment
• Block scheduling considered but not guaranteed
• COVID-19 and Flu vaccinations required with no exemptions
