Description
American Traveler is hiring a flexible RN for an Operating Room position covering multiple service lines with weekend and call requirements.
Details
- Work in the Operating Room (OR) unit supporting various service lines including General, Neuro, Ortho, and Robotics
- 13-week assignment with a 06:30-19:00 shift schedule
- Weekend work required
- Participation in assigned on-call rotation required
Requirements
- Active SC or compact RN license required
- BLS certification (AHA only) required
- ACLS certification (AHA only) required
- Minimum 1 year of OR nursing experience required
- Computer skills for utilizing patient care documentation programs
Additional Information
- Assess patient needs through history, observation, physical exam, and diagnostic data analysis
- Delegate, supervise, and evaluate team member activities while performing interventions in urgent or emergent situations
- Complete Safe Surgery checklist verification and maintain accurate, timely documentation
- Prepare the operating room and patient for procedures, including positioning on the operating table
- Perform circulating duties efficiently and assist in control and maintenance of supplies and equipment
- Serve as communication liaison between the surgical team and patient families
- Work within or outside the sterile field as needed to maintain health and safety standards
