Description

American Traveler is hiring a Registered Nurse for a blended PCU/Medical-Surgical unit requiring at least two years of experience and Epic charting proficiency.

Details

• Blended Progressive Care Unit (PCU) and Medical-Surgical (MS) unit setting
• PCU patient ratio maximum of 1:4
• MS patient ratio maximum of 1:6
• Epic EMR experience required
• Day shift (3x12 hours, 7:00-19:00) or Night shift (3x12 hours, 19:00-7:00) schedules available
• Floating within scope required as needed

Requirements

• Active RN license, VA or compact state, required in hand at time of consideration
• Minimum two years of RN experience required
• BSN preferred, though diploma and Associate degree graduates from ACEN or CCNE accredited programs accepted
• Required certifications: BLS
• Preferred certification: ACLS
• Epic charting system experience required
• Skilled in cardiac monitoring, emergency response, and interpretation and management of dysrhythmias
• Two professional references required

Additional Information

• Provide nursing care across a blended PCU and MS patient population
• Cannot take RTO for Christmas Eve or Christmas Day
• No time off granted during the first week of assignment
• Facility maintains a natural nail policy
• Drug, tobacco, and smoke-free workplace; smoking not permitted on campus
• Modules assigned during orientation via the facility's Learning Exchange, to be completed by end of orientation week
• Returning travelers and former employees must wait at least twelve months before being eligible to return
• Local candidates accepted at the same base rate with no radius restrictions
• Background check review required prior to start
