Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced Operating Room RN for a day shift rotating schedule position requiring Level I Trauma experience and an active IL RN license.

Details

• Operating Room unit in a hospital setting
• Day shift, 3x12-hour shifts on a rotating MTW/WThF schedule, 6:45am-7:15pm
• Heaviest case volume typically in Neuro and Ortho specialties
• Epic charting system experience required

Requirements

• Active IL RN license required in hand
• Level I Trauma experience required
• Well-rounded OR experience across multiple surgical specialties preferred
• Candidates with less than 2 years of experience will be considered
• Current Nursys verification required, pulled within the last 2 weeks

Additional Information

• New staff will be in training, so broad OR experience is valued to support orientation needs
• Non-billable orientation modules (2-3 hours) required, varying by profession
• RTO limited to no more than 3 days, with no RTO during the first or last week of the contract
• Local candidates accepted at the same bill rate
• Former University of Chicago Medicine, PRN, or Ingalls permanent staff must have a 7-month gap in employment before returning as a traveler
• Any schedule or block scheduling requests must be submitted upfront and discussed during the interview process
