Description

American Traveler is hiring an RN for a Med/Surg Tele night shift position requiring 2+ years of recent specialty experience and prior travel assignment history at a Level I Trauma Center.

Details

• Night shift schedule, 4x12 hours (19:00-7:00)
• Med/Surg Tele unit in a Level I Trauma Center, short-term acute care hospital
• Team nursing model with 1:7 ratios, supported by PCC and other staff
• On-call required as needed
• Weekend rotation required as needed
• Weekend block scheduling may be considered
• Floating may occur between like units and campuses within a 20-mile radius

Requirements

• Active RN license in TN or compact RN license compliant with NLC guidelines
• Minimum 2 years of recent Med/Surg Tele experience required, 3+ years preferred
• At least 1 completed prior travel assignment required
• BLS certification required, NIHSS preferred
• Level I Trauma experience preferred
• Large hospital experience required
• Cardiac monitoring and emergency response skills required
• Dysrhythmia interpretation and management skills required
• Cerner experience preferred
• ADN accepted for this position
• Driver's license copy required for consideration
• Vaccination status required for consideration

Additional Information

• Provide direct patient care in a fast-paced Med/Surg Tele environment within a Level I Trauma Center
• First-time travelers will not be considered for this role
• Candidates must live at least 100 miles from the facility, strictly enforced with no exceptions for local candidates
• All requested time off must be submitted upfront, as RTO will not be approved after an offer is made
• Holiday coverage required: if Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's all fall within the assignment, must work 2 of the 3; if only 2 holidays fall within the assignment, must work at least 1
• Former permanent staff or travelers must be separated from the facility for at least 1 year before returning as a traveler
