Description

American Traveler is seeking a Neuro ICU RN for a night shift assignment requiring at least 2 years of recent Neuro ICU experience and prior travel experience.

Details

• Neuro Intensive Care Unit setting within a hospital
• Night shift schedule, 3x12 hours (19:00-7:00)
• Patient ratio of 1:2-3
• On-call and weekend shifts as needed
• Floating may occur between like units and campuses within a 20-mile radius
• Cerner charting system experience preferred

Requirements

• Active RN license (Compact or TN) in hand at time of submission, no pending licenses accepted
• Minimum 2 years of recent Neuro ICU experience required, 3+ years preferred
• At least 1 completed prior travel assignment required
• ADN accepted; BSN not required for this position
• Certifications required: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
• Experience with IV therapy, central/arterial/PICC line management, and blood product administration required
• Skills in ventilator management, ICP monitoring, EVD, and post-craniotomy/neurosurgery care required
• Driver's license copy required for consideration
• Vaccination status must be disclosed for consideration

Additional Information

• Provide critical care nursing to neurologically complex patients, including stroke, traumatic brain injury, and post-neurosurgical cases
• Manage advanced neurological monitoring equipment such as EVDs, ICP monitors, and hypothermia protocols
• Must be willing to work 2 of 3 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year's) if all fall within the assignment, or 1 of 2 if only two occur
• Must live at least 100 miles from the facility; no local candidates accepted under this strict radius rule
• First-time travelers will not be considered; prior travel assignment experience is required
• Former permanent staff or travelers must be separated from the facility for at least one year before returning
• All requested time off (RTO) must be submitted at the time of consideration; late requests will not be honored
