Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced Operating Room RN for a 13-week day shift assignment at an orthopedic-focused surgical facility with no weekends, holidays, or call required.
Details
- Operating Room unit at an orthopedic institute
- Smaller, slower-paced facility setting
- Scrubs in on orthopedic and general surgery cases including arthroscopic surgeries and total joint replacement
- Must be able to 2nd scrub, assisting with tasks such as holding retractors
- Day shift schedule, 4x10 hours (6:00 AM-4:30 PM)
- Monday through Friday scheduling with no weekends, holidays, or call required
Requirements
- Active OH or compact RN license required
- BLS certification required
- Minimum 1-2 years of OR nursing experience required
- Prior travel nursing experience preferred
- Experience with ambulatory OR, general OR, and orthopedic/spine procedures preferred
- Experience scrubbing arthroscopic surgeries, orthopedic surgeries, total joint replacement, and general surgery preferred
Additional Information
- Candidates must be prepared to complete OH BCI and FBI fingerprinting promptly upon accepting an offer, including electronic submission for lifetime background checks
- Two professional references required, with at least one from a Manager/Director or formal leadership role; Charge RN acceptable as second reference; no coworker references accepted
- Former employees eligible for assignment after being away from the facility for 6 months or more
- Requested time off must be submitted with the application and built into the contract, limited to 7 days or less
- Local candidates accepted at the same pay rate
