Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Ortho/Neuro Med-Surg night shift position requiring WI or compact RN license and NIHSS certification.

Details

• Ortho/Neuro Med-Surg unit within a hospital and trauma center setting
• Night shift schedule from 6:30P-7A on a 12-hour shift basis
• Every other weekend and holiday shifts required
• Floating to other units may be required

Requirements

• Active WI or compact RN license required
• Minimum 1 year of nursing experience required
• Current BLS/BCLS certification required
• NIHSS certification required
• Education verification required for consideration

Additional Information

• Utilize the nursing process and collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to care for patients
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments according to policies, standards of care, and state practice act
• Develop, initiate, and execute individualized patient plans of care as prescribed by physicians or hospital policy, including patient and family education
• Participate in unit performance improvement activities and shared governance
• Provide clinical expertise and guidance to support patients' longitudinal plan of care
• Apply critical thinking to patient safety and experience, escalating concerns through appropriate channels
