Description

American Traveler is hiring a Registered Nurse - Operating Room with strong orthopedic and robotics experience for a position requiring a CA RN license and prior teaching hospital experience.

• Work in the Operating Room unit of a hospital setting
• Variable 8-hour day shifts, Monday through Friday
• Patient ratio of 1:1
• Epic charting system experience required
• Ability to float to other facilities within a 75+ mile radius if job specifications are met

Requirements

• Active CA RN license required at time of submission
• BSN required
• AHA BLS certification required
• CNOR certification preferred
• Minimum 2 years inpatient OR experience required
• Circulating and scrubbing experience required
• Strong orthopedic background required, including experience with ACL reconstruction, arthroscopy, closed and open reduction of fractures, laminectomy/discectomy, spinal fusion, and total joint replacement
• Robotics experience required, DaVinci system preferred
• Urology experience required
• General surgery experience including appendectomy, cholecystectomy, and laparoscopic-assisted procedures
• Endoscopic procedure experience including bronchoscopy, colonoscopy, and EGD
• Experience with Hana Table preferred
• Teaching hospital experience required and must be noted in employment history
• Prior travel experience within the last 12 months required
• Two professional references from most recent employer required for consideration
• Proof of COVID vaccination and booster required, or documented proof of a scheduled booster appointment prior to start date

Additional Information

• Perform circulating and scrubbing duties for a variety of orthopedic, general surgery, and endoscopic procedures
• Work within a general OR setting supporting robotics-assisted surgeries
• Any prior employment with University of California medical facilities or their acquired facilities must be disclosed, including dates, units, and manager names for rehire eligibility review
• All RTO requests must be disclosed at time of submission and approved by the manager prior to offer; no RTO permitted during the first two weeks of the assignment
• Local candidates accepted at the same pay rate as travelers
