Description

American Traveler is hiring a Mammography Technologist for an outpatient setting requiring at least 1 year of experience and ARRT(R) certification.

Details

Outpatient mammography setting
Average of 20 visits per day across 2 rooms
Day shift schedule, 5x8 hours from 7:00 AM to 6:00 PM, with potential for 4x10 block scheduling for the right candidate
Must be available to work Saturdays
May float between sister facilities within the state as needed
Patient ratio of 1:1
Epic EMR experience preferred

Requirements

Minimum of 1 year of experience required
ARRT(R) certification required, ARRT(M) preferred
BLS certification required
CA state license required; license required if applicable
Compact license must be in hand at time of submission; pending licenses not accepted
Experience with 3-D mammography, diagnostic mammograms, digital mammography, screening mammograms, and stereotactic biopsy
Fine needle aspiration and needle localization experience preferred
Experience with Hologic 3D equipment required; Hologic Affirm BX experience preferred
Knowledge of radiation safety and universal precautions/core measures
Two supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years required
Full SSN and DOB required for compliance

Additional Information

First-time travelers will be considered with relevant experience
Candidates must commit to working 3 of the 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
RTO requests should be limited to no more than 7 days and must be submitted upfront to avoid delays
Local candidates accepted at a lower bill rate within a 50-mile radius
Former employees of the health system may return after a 3-month waiting period, provided they live outside the 50-mile radius of the facility
Candidates can only be submitted to one facility within the health system at a time
