Description
American Traveler is hiring an MRI Technologist with 3-5 years of MRI experience and dual-vendor GE and Siemens proficiency for a Level II Trauma Center.
Details
- Level II Trauma Center, Level III NICU, Primary Stroke Center with 933 beds
- MRI unit operating 5 of 6 scanners with a weekly census of 250-300 patients
- Patient population includes outpatient, inpatient, and ED patients with implantable devices, neuro, oncology, musculoskeletal, whole body, ventilated, and sedated cases; cardiac experience preferred
- Patient ratio of 1:1
- 8-hour evening shift, Monday-Friday 1:30 PM-10:00 PM, 40 hours per week
- Weekend rotation up to every 3rd weekend
- On-call Saturday and Sunday nights 9:00 PM-6:30 AM with 30-minute response time, plus backup on-call Saturday and Sunday 6:30 AM-9:00 PM
- No floating required, MRI unit only
Requirements
- 3-5 years of MRI experience required
- BLS and ARRT-MR or ARMRIT certification required
- License required if applicable
- GE and Siemens equipment experience required
- Experience with EPIC EMR required
- Experience with GE Discovery 750W, Siemens Aera, Siemens Magnetom Skyra, and McKesson PACS required
- Minimum 12 months of core MRI experience with most recent experience within the last year
- Minimum 1 professional reference dated within the last year from a Supervisor, Manager, Director, or Charge RN

- Support provided by Lead Tech/Coordinator and Imaging Assistants; travelers are never alone on shift
- 3 days of orientation provided
- Holiday coverage based on unit needs
- Scrubs may be any professional color
- Free parking available
- First-time travelers will be considered
- No radius rules; local candidates accepted at the same rate
- Former Advocate Health employees must be separated for at least 12 months before becoming eligible for travel assignments
- Covid vaccine required
