Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Labor & Delivery unit requiring an active NJ or compact RN license and at least 1 year of experience.

Details

• Work in the Delivery Room unit of a hospital setting
• PM shift schedule, 7p-7a
• 3 shifts per week, 12 hours per day, 36 hours per week
• Float as needed to a nearby sister hospital
• No on-call requirements
• Uses Epic EMR charting system

Requirements

• Active NJ or compact RN license required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum 1 year of relevant experience required
• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
• Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred
• Epic EMR experience preferred

Additional Information

• Perform comprehensive patient assessments across the continuum of care from pediatric to geriatric populations
• Deliver competent clinical care including knowledge of emergency equipment and procedures
• Maintain accurate and complete documentation of nursing care and patient progress
• Provide patient and family education throughout the care process
• Follow National Patient Safety Goals including Universal Protocol and patient identification procedures
• Demonstrate safe patient transfer techniques and proper body mechanics
• Collaborate with the care team to prioritize patient needs and respond to changes in condition
• Maintain patient confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA guidelines
• Local candidates accepted
• Travelers may remain on assignment up to one calendar year from the initial start date before requiring a break prior to returning
