Description

American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg RN for a night shift assignment requiring telemetry interpretation skills and Epic EMR experience.

Details

• Medical Surgical/Telemetry unit in an 86-bed community hospital
• 1:6 patient ratio
• Night shift schedule (3x12 hours, 1900-0730)
• Every other weekend and every other holiday required
• Travelers are first to float
• Uses Epic EMR system

Requirements

• Active RN license (any state or compact) required
• BLS certification required; ACLS preferred
• Minimum 2 years of Med Surg experience required
• Must independently read and interpret telemetry
• Epic charting experience required
• Teaching hospital experience required
• Community hospital, LTAC, and Trauma Level I/II experience preferred
• Previous charge experience preferred
• Skilled in IV therapy, phlebotomy, and starting/maintaining IVs
• Cardiac monitoring and emergency response skills required
• Experience with isolation precautions/PPE
• Orthopedic and total joint replacement experience a plus

Additional Information

• Provide direct patient care on a combined Med Surg/Telemetry unit, including monitoring, IV therapy, and cardiac/emergency response
• Navy blue scrubs required
• More than one call-off may result in termination; no call/no show results in immediate termination
• Maximum 10 days RTO per contract, with no RTO permitted during the initial weeks of the assignment
• Permanent address must be greater than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible to apply
• Former OhioHealth employees must have a 366-day separation before returning as a traveler; PRN employees may not accept travel assignments while actively employed PRN
• First-time travelers are not considered for this position
