Description
American Traveler is hiring an Occupational Therapist for an Acute Care Hospital setting, requiring at least 1 year of inpatient acute care experience and BLS/NBCOT certification.
Details
- Acute Care Hospital setting within a short-term acute care, teaching hospital
- Day shift schedule, 5x8 hours, 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM
- Position may float between units
- Weekend shifts required on a fluctuating basis (2-4 per month)
- Schedules fluctuate based on facility needs
- Charting completed in Epic
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of experience required
- Inpatient acute care hospital experience required
- BLS certification required
- NBCOT certification required
- Epic charting system experience required
- Compact state license must be in hand at submission
- License required if applicable
- 2 references covering 1 year of experience within the last 3 years required
Additional Information
- Responsibilities include billing/documentation, assessment, discharge planning, evaluation, plan of care, and reassessments
- Additional skills include home exercise programs, lifting and transfers, patient/family education, and safety/injury prevention
- Teaching hospital environment with Trauma Level I and II experience preferred
- Travelers may be expected to float between sister facilities near the contracted location
- Candidates must commit to working 3 of the 5 major holidays
- Must submit all RTO requests upfront at time of submission
- First-time travelers will be considered
- Returning staff may be eligible after a 3-month break
- Local candidates accepted at a lower bill rate
- Local radius rule of 50 miles applies
- Scrub color is any color, with facility-provided scrubs for OR/Cath Lab
- No parking fees at this facility
