Description

American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg Float RN with 2 years of experience and a SC or compact RN license for a night shift position.

Details

• Medical Surgical Float position on the 6 South unit
• Patient ratio of 1:6
• Night shift schedule, 3x12 hours (6:45 PM-7:15 AM)
• Required to work every other weekend
• Float requirement to other Med/Surg units, part of a resource pool floating to 5 MS and 4 Tele units
• Uses Epic charting system

Requirements

• Active SC or compact RN license required, pending license accepted but must be obtained prior to starting
• BLS certification required
• Minimum 2 years of experience required
• Epic EMR experience required
• Experience with IV therapy, phlebotomy, and peripheral line care
• Experience with oxygen administration and nasal cannula
• Experience with colostomy/ileostomy management
• Experience with heparin and PCA medication administration
• Experience with isolation precautions/PPE and wound care/wound vac
• Med/Surg and cardiac monitoring work setting experience

• Provide care across multiple Med/Surg units as part of a resource pool
• Local candidates accepted at the same bill rate with no radius restriction
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Staff RNs previously employed at the facility are not eligible to return as travelers
• All requested time off must be submitted at the time of submission
• Non-billable online learning modules must be completed prior to start, averaging 2 hours
