Description

American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg Float Pool RN with 2+ years of experience and SC or compact RN licensure for a float pool role covering multiple MS and Tele units.

Details

• MS/Tele float pool position on 4 North
• Patient ratio of 1:6
• Day shift schedule, 3x12 hours (6:45 AM - 7:15 PM)
• Required to float to other MS units and across 5 MS and 4 Tele units as needed
• Every other weekend required
• Uses Epic EMR

Requirements

• Active SC or compact RN license required (pending license accepted if obtained prior to start)
• BLS certification required; ACLS preferred
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• Experience with IV therapy/phlebotomy, central line care, peripheral line care, and starting/maintaining IVs required
• Experience starting and maintaining IVs preferred
• Skilled in cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation and management
• Experience with isolation precautions/PPE
• Experience managing CVA, neurological/psychiatric, respiratory, and renal failure patients
• Oxygen administration and nasal cannula experience

Additional Information

• Provide nursing care across Med/Surg and Telemetry units as part of a resource float pool
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Local candidates accepted at the same bill rate with no radius rule
• Former staff RNs at this facility are not eligible to return as travelers
• All requested time off (RTO) must be submitted at the time of consideration
