Description

American Traveler is hiring an Echo Technologist for a Non-Invasive Cardiology department requiring 1+ years of cardiac ultrasound experience and RDCS or RCS certification.

Details

• Non-Invasive Cardiology unit performing diagnostic cardiac/vascular ultrasound exams
• 4x10 hour Day shifts, 40 hours per week
• Shared on-call obligations for nights, weekends, and holidays with a 30-minute response time requirement
• Uses Epic for charting

Requirements

• 1+ years of experience in cardiac ultrasound (echocardiography) preferred
• BLS (AHA) required, must not expire prior to start date
• RDCS (Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer) or RCS (Registered Cardiac Sonographer) certification required
• High school diploma or GED required; Associate's degree preferred
• License required if applicable
• Active license required with no pending licensure allowed

Additional Information

• Perform a variety of ultrasound procedures to evaluate internal organs and vessels for disease diagnosis
• Prepare exam rooms, obtain informed consent, and gather accurate clinical history prior to exams
• Review patient history to determine proper protocol selection and position patients for exams
• Review and evaluate completed tests for quality and completeness, ensuring quality images for physician review
• Document and communicate patient information accurately and ensure safe hand-off between shifts
• Monitor equipment reliability, report issues, and maintain supplies and cleanliness of work areas
• Transport patients as needed and participate in quality improvement initiatives
• Permanent staff must be separated from any Intermountain facility for at least one year before being eligible for a travel assignment
