Description
American Traveler is hiring a Mammography Technologist with at least 1 year of experience and RT(M) certification to perform screening, diagnostic, stereotactic biopsy, and bone density exams.
Details
- Work in a high-volume Breast Imaging department with 4 mammography rooms and a mobile van
- Average caseload of 15-20 exams per technologist per day
- Day shift from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
- Performs screening and diagnostic mammography, stereotactic biopsy, and DXA bone density exams
Requirements
- Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Mammography Technologist
- Current BLS certification (AHA only)
- ARRT or NMTCB certification required
- RT(M) certification in mammography required
- License required if applicable
Additional Information
- Responsible for verifying patient identity, exam orders, and ensuring high-quality imaging prior to radiologist interpretation
- Maintains documentation and data in compliance with MQSA standards
- Must demonstrate thorough knowledge of imaging equipment and maintain attentiveness to patient and equipment during procedures
- Upon completion of orientation, must independently perform all mammography and bone density exam types
