Description

American Traveler is hiring an RN for an LTAC Med/Surg Tele position requiring 2 years of MS/Tele experience and neuro experience, with a SC or compact RN license.

Details

• LTAC Med/Surg Tele unit
• Day shift, 4x12 hour shifts from 7:00 to 19:30
• 36 or 48 hour weekly options available
• 13 to 26 week contract options
• Weekend coverage supported by a rotating on-call pool of 6 to 8 staff members
• On-call coverage after 5pm daily and on weekends, supported by primary and backup call techs
• Floating to other units or campuses may be required based on census needs, limited to competencies already demonstrated

Requirements

• Active SC or compact RN license required
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of recent Med/Surg Tele experience required
• Neuro experience required
• LTAC experience preferred
• Minimum 1 year of experience with Epic EMR required
• Experience with complex wound care, cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, and tracheostomy care/management
• Respiratory/thoracic patient care experience

Additional Information

• Provide direct patient care for LTAC Med/Surg Tele patients, including cardiac monitoring and complex wound management
• Orientation occurs every Monday with annual compliance training required
• Pre-assignment testing and training modules must be completed within 48 hours of receiving login credentials
• Travelers must reside more than 100 miles from any facility in the health system to be eligible, with reduced eligibility between 90-99.9 miles
• Night shift travelers for this specialty must reside at least 50 miles from the contracted campus to be eligible
