Description

American Traveler is hiring an RN for a Labor & Delivery position requiring BLS, NRP, ACLS certifications and critical access hospital experience.

Details

• Labor and Delivery unit with 3 LD rooms plus 1 triage room
• Facility averages 20 deliveries per month with fewer than 100 births annually
• Postpartum patients transfer to acute care
• Night shift schedule, 3x12 hours, 7p-7a
• Every other weekend required
• No on-call responsibilities
• Floating required as needed within scope
• Patient ratio of 1:2
• Charting completed in Cerner
• Block scheduling available

Requirements

• Active WA or compact RN license
• Current certifications: BLS, NRP, and ACLS (AWHONN Intermediate preferred)
• Minimum 2 years of recent experience in Labor and Delivery
• Critical Access Hospital experience required
• Community hospital experience preferred
• Cerner charting system experience required
• Two professional references from the specialty required
• Copy of driver's license and Social Security card required for consideration

Additional Information

• Provide care for patients undergoing vaginal delivery, including newborn assessment and postpartum care
• Perform IV therapy and phlebotomy, including starting and maintaining IVs
• Administer vaccines and follow isolation precautions/PPE protocols
• Locals accepted with no radius restriction

• Candidates who previously worked at the facility must have been separated for at least 1 year to return as a traveler
