Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Emergency Department night shift position requiring BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NIH certifications.

• Emergency Department setting
• Night shift schedule, 4x12 hours (19:00-7:00)
• 13-week assignment
• Patient ratio of 1:4
• On-call requirements apply based on holiday coverage option selected
• No block scheduling accommodations

Requirements

• Active SC or compact RN license required
• Pending license accepted if obtained prior to starting
• BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NIH Stroke Scale certifications required
• Minimum 1 year of ER experience required, 2 years preferred
• Must pass Cardiac Dysrhythmia test on first day of orientation with only one attempt allowed
• Recent Epic experience preferred but not required

Additional Information

• Must select one of the following: 1 holiday with 1 on-call shift or additional shift per 6 weeks, OR 2 holidays with no on-call/additional shifts
• All RTO must be submitted with initial application; requests made afterward will not be considered
• Attendance policy in place: missing more than two shifts per 13-week contract without reasonable explanation may result in contract review for cancellation
• Must reside at least 75 miles from the facility; local candidates not accepted
• Former permanent staff of this health system are not eligible to return as travelers
