Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced Operating Room RN for a multi-specialty surgical unit requiring 2+ years of OR experience and prior travel experience.
Details
- Operating Room unit covering Ortho, General, ENT, Plastics, and Dental surgical specialties
- Uses specialized equipment including Hana table, laparoscopic and arthroscopic equipment, lipo machine, and ENT generators
- Day shift schedule (4x10 Hours, 7:00 AM - 5:00 PM)
- Call required
- Weekends required
- Floating to like units within scope may be required based on facility needs
Requirements
- Active RN license (New Mexico or Compact) in hand or pending prior to start
- Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, and PALS
- Minimum 2 years of OR nursing experience required
- Prior travel experience required
- Experience in specialties such as Gynecology, Plastics, Oral/Dental, Orthopedics, General Surgery, Urology, ENT, Bariatrics, and Robotics (Da Vinci Xi, Mako) preferred
- Epic charting experience preferred
- Proficiency in specimen handling/labeling and Universal Protocol (Time Out) procedures
Additional Information
- Candidates must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to be eligible
- Local candidates within 50 miles will not be accepted
- Travel pairs or groups will not be considered
- Former staff must wait at least 1 year before returning as a traveler
- No more than 3 days of RTO will be auto-approved, and no RTO is permitted during the first week of orientation
