Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Outpatient Hematology Oncology Clinic position requiring OCN certification and chemotherapy administration experience.
Details
- Outpatient Clinic Hematology Oncology setting
- Day shift schedule (4x10 hours, 7:00 AM-3:30 PM)
- Weekend shifts required
- Floating required within the hospital or to nearby affiliate hospitals
- No on-call responsibilities
- Epic EMR experience required
Requirements
- Active RN license (Standard or Compact)
- OR state license required for consideration
- Current certifications: BLS and OCN (OCN preferred)
- Chemo/Biotherapy certification required
- 2+ years of adult ambulatory oncology triage and infusion experience
- Chemotherapy administration skills required
- Epic charting experience required
- COVID vaccination proof required with no exemptions accepted
- Two manager or supervisor references from within the last 24 months required (charge RN references not accepted)
Additional Information
- Provide triage and infusion care to adult oncology patients in an outpatient setting
- Administer chemotherapy and biotherapy treatments
- Candidates may be required to float to affiliate hospitals nearby; refusal to float as requested may result in contract cancellation
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
- Local candidates accepted at the same pay rate with no radius restriction
- RTO must be submitted upfront and should not exceed 2 weeks
- Former OHSU employees or previous travelers must have a 6+ month gap before returning, and must provide a reference from their previous OHSU manager
- Background checks are comprehensive and conducted via an advanced lifetime reporting system; any background or license hits will not be accepted
