Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced ER RN for a 13-week night shift assignment requiring a WA or compact RN license and 2+ years of emergency department experience.

Details

• Level 4 Trauma, Magnet-designated, teaching hospital emergency department
• 22 private treatment rooms, 5 trauma/critical care rooms, and a 24-hour staffed triage room
• Night shift schedule (3x12 hours, 19:00-7:30)
• Patient ratio of 1:4
• Weekend coverage required on an as-needed basis
• No on-call requirements
• Floating within the hospital required; no floating to sister hospitals
• Uses Epic charting system

Requirements

• Active WA or compact RN license required
• Minimum 2 years of ER RN experience required
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, PALS, and TNCC
• Preferred certifications: ENPC and NRP
• Epic charting experience preferred but not required
• Trauma Level I and II experience preferred
• Charge nurse experience preferred, not required
• Skills in cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, triage, and procedural sedation monitoring required
• Experience with care of ventilated patients preferred
• Must be fully COVID vaccinated and boosted with no exceptions

Additional Information

• Provide emergency department nursing care including triage, cardiac monitoring, and dysrhythmia management
• First-time travelers are accepted
• Local candidates accepted at the same bill rate with no mile radius restriction
• Prior UW staff must have an 18-month separation before returning as a traveler
• RTO limited to a maximum of 1 week, with minimal RTO accommodated and none during the first 2 weeks of the assignment
• Scrubs may be any color; scrubs provided for OR personnel
