Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced Med/Surg RN for a 13-week acute care assignment requiring prior travel experience and SC or compact RN licensure.

Details

• Acute care hospital setting within the Medical Surgical unit
• Patient ratios of 1:6-7
• Day shift schedule, 3x12 hours (6:45am-7:15pm)
• Holiday rotation required
• Every other weekend required
• No on-call requirements
• No floating required
• Uses Epic charting system

Requirements

• Active SC RN license or compact license must be in hand prior to start
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications (AHA only)
• Minimum 2 years of Med/Surg RN experience required
• Epic EMR experience required
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• SSN required for consideration

Additional Information

• Royal blue scrub color required
• Travelers should be aware that during hurricane season (June-November), all staff may be assigned to emergency response teams
• First-time travelers are not accepted for this position
• Previous permanent or PRN staff must be separated from the health system for 1 year before returning as a traveler
• Candidates must live within a 60-mile radius, though local candidates will be considered at a reduced rate
• Facility may call off up to 1 shift per 2 weeks
• Block scheduling requests may be submitted but are not guaranteed
