Description

American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg RN for a 13-week night shift contract requiring 2 years of experience and an active SC or compact RN license.

Details

• Medical Surgical unit on a 3x12 night shift schedule (18:45-7:15)
• Patient ratios of 1:5 to 1:6
• Floating to other Med/Surg and telemetry floors as needed
• Weekday schedule with every other weekend and holiday rotation required
• Uses Meditech EMR
• Travelers without pediatric experience will not be assigned pediatric patients

Requirements

• Active SC or compact RN license required
• Minimum 2 years of Med/Surg experience required
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• IV start/therapy skills required
• Travel nursing experience preferred
• Community hospital experience preferred
• Prior charge nurse experience preferred

Additional Information

• Must float within the hospital in rotation with staff according to facility floating policies, with appropriate orientation provided for new units
• Scrubs not provided; royal blue/white scrub color required
• Must live more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
• First-time travelers are accepted
• Candidates with license or background check issues will not be accepted
• Previous employees must have been gone at least 1 year and in good standing at time of departure to reapply
• Minimal to no RTO accepted; any time off requests must be approved prior to assignment start and discussed during the interview process
