Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Stepdown/PCU night shift position requiring active TX or compact RN license and NIH Stroke Certification.

Details

• Work in the Stepdown/Progressive Care Unit (PCU Tele) of a hospital setting
• Night shift schedule from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Every other weekend work required
• On-call responsibilities required
• Floating required as needed
• Uses Meditech documentation system

Requirements

• Active TX or compact RN license required (temporary license not accepted)
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• NIH Stroke Certification required
• Minimum 2 years of hospital experience required
• Minimum 2 years of specialty (PCU/Stepdown) experience required
• Meditech experience preferred
• No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
• US Social Security Number and date of birth required for consideration

Additional Information

• 13-week assignment
• Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility; local candidates not accepted, no exceptions
• One professional reference required (two required for Florida and Missouri candidates)
• Royal blue scrubs required for RNs
• Clean, neat appearance required including hair, nails, and minimal visible piercings
• Body art should be covered when feasible
• Standard company attendance policy applies
