Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN - Telemetry for an 8-week contract in Chicago, IL, requiring 2+ years of MS/TEL experience and prior travel assignment history.

Details

• Telemetry unit within a hospital setting
• Day shift, 12-hour shifts starting at 07:00, 36 hours/week
• Every other weekend required
• Holiday coverage as needed
• First to float to other MS/TEL units
• No on-call requirements

Requirements

• Active IL RN license required
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• NIHSS certification required
• 2+ years of MS/TEL experience required, 5+ years preferred
• Must have prior travel assignment experience
• New graduates not accepted
• EPIC EMR experience required and must be noted in employment history
• 2 current references from a Supervisor/Manager/Charge in the relevant care area within the last year required, travel reference preferred

Additional Information

• Provide telemetry nursing care within a medical-surgical/telemetry unit
• First shift includes 6 hours of non-billable unit orientation
• Returning permanent or per diem staff must be separated for 12 months before being eligible to return as a travel RN
• RTO for this 8-week contract is limited to a maximum of 3 days
• Local candidates accepted at the same rate
• First-time travelers may be considered depending on experience
