Description
American Traveler is hiring a Behavioral Health RN for an Urgent Care setting requiring at least 2 years of RN experience and NC or compact licensure.
Details
- Behavioral Health Urgent Care and Facility-Based Crisis (FBC) units
- Treats adolescents, adults, and pediatric patients
- Patient diagnoses include MDD, Bipolar disorder, Schizophrenia, Schizoaffective disorder, and Substance abuse
- Patient ratio of 1:6
- Day shift schedule, 3x12 hours, 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM
- Weekend rotation and holiday coverage as needed
- Required to float between Urgent Care and Facility-Based Crisis units, and potentially to any Cone Health campus
Requirements
- Active RN license (NC or Compact) in hand at time of consideration
- BLS certification required
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
- Behavioral Health Urgent Care experience required
- Behavioral Health experience preferred
- Epic EMR experience required
- Must pass a compliance EKG exam (Pass/Fail, two attempts allowed)
- Current driver's license required for address verification
Additional Information
- Urgent Care setting serves walk-in and IVC-status patients with short-stay volumes up to 25 per day in a fast-paced environment
- Facility-Based Crisis (FBC) Unit serves as an alternative to inpatient hospitalization for individuals with mental illness or substance use disorders
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
- RTO must be submitted with the application; no post-submission RTO accepted
- Candidates must reside at least 50 miles from the facility; local candidates not accepted
