Description
American Traveler is hiring a Registered Nurse for a Progressive Care/Cardiac CDU unit requiring 2+ years of PCU experience and the ability to recognize EKG rhythms.
Details
- Work in a 39-bed Cardiac CDU/PCU unit
- Patient ratios of 4-5:1
- 12hr day shifts, 3 shifts per week
- Uses Epic EMR
- Floating required, with travelers prioritized to float, including to sister campuses within 15-20 minutes of the facility
- No on-call requirements
Requirements
- Active FL or Compact RN license required
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Minimum 2 years of PCU experience required
- Cardiac nursing experience required
- Must be able to recognize EKG rhythms
- Accredited nursing degree must be documented, or candidate must have 5 years of PCU experience
- Recent Nursys verification required
- Driver's license address must match address on file with the Board of Nursing
Additional Information
- Travelers are expected to fully integrate and function as core staff
- Must reside within 50 miles of the facility, with strict enforcement of this radius requirement
- Candidates must be prepared to secure full-time housing in the area for the duration of the assignment
- All requested time off must be submitted upfront and will not be approved after acceptance
- Orientation begins on a Friday, including remote orientation and an in-person visit for badge/ID
- Hard document deadline is the Monday prior to start with no exceptions for pending documentation
- Galaxy Blue and white scrubs required
- Prior travel nursing experience preferred
- Required documentation includes SS card, driver's license, and COVID/Flu records
