Description

American Traveler is hiring a Mammography Technologist for a days shift position requiring ARRT(M) certification and 1+ year of experience in breast imaging.

Details

• Breast imaging center setting performing mammography, stereotactic breast biopsy, breast ultrasound, and assisting with breast ultrasound biopsy
• Patient population includes adolescents, adults, middle-aged adults, and geriatric patients
• Days shift schedule with 4x10 hour shifts
• Follows MQSA and ACR guidelines for breast imaging procedures

Requirements

• ARRT(M) certification required
• BLS certification required
• Active state license required if applicable
• Minimum of 1 year of experience preferred, healthcare experience preferred
• Working knowledge of mammography and stereotactic equipment, examinations, and protocols
• Experience with contrast agents and sterile techniques
• Basic computer skills required or ability to obtain within 90 days for completion of online learning and administrative tasks
• Must be able to stand and walk regularly throughout shift with occasional bending, twisting, squatting, and lifting

Additional Information

• Perform breast imaging procedures and review exams for technical accuracy before presenting to radiologist
• Communicate with and educate patients before, during, and after procedures to support continuity of care
• Conduct and document quality control to ensure equipment meets MQSA and ACR safety standards
• Coordinate scheduling of breast imaging appointments and assist with departmental workflow management
• Participate in orientation of new employees and ongoing departmental education initiatives
• Maintain required CEU credits per ARRT guidelines and stay current with CPR certification
• Must be HIPAA compliant
