Description

American Traveler is seeking a part-time Physical Therapist for an Acute Care Hospital setting, requiring 2+ years of acute care experience and BLS certification.

Details

• Acute Care Hospital unit setting
• Part-time schedule: evenings, 2:00 PM-8:30 PM, Monday through Friday
• Cerner charting system experience preferred
• Must be willing to float within the hospital and within scope of practice

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of acute care experience required
• BLS certification required
• Community hospital experience preferred
• Maryland or Compact PT license required if applicable
• Two supervisor references required
• Must be nicotine-free as facility is tobacco-free

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include patient assessment, evaluation, treatment planning, and discharge planning across a range of cardiopulmonary, neurologic, and orthopedic conditions
• Works with patient populations including geriatrics, oncology, post-stroke rehabilitation, and post-surgical orthopedic cases
• Utilizes assistive devices and equipment such as gait belts, rolling walkers, sliding boards, and supplemental oxygen delivery systems
• Provides patient and family education along with safety and injury prevention guidance
• Completes non-billable orientation and annual training modules averaging 4-6 hours via WorkDay
• Local candidates accepted at the same bill rate with no mile radius restriction
• Former employees must be separated from the facility for at least 1 year to be eligible
