Description

American Traveler is hiring a Maternal Fetal Medicine Sonographer with 2+ years of OB/GYN experience and ARDMS OB/GYN and NT certification for a high-risk pregnancy clinic.

Details

• Work across 6 ultrasound rooms at one hospital and 2 rooms at a second hospital location
• High Risk OB/MFM clinic setting performing detailed ultrasounds for high-risk maternal and fetal patients
• Perform 7-9 detailed ultrasounds daily and report findings to 3 MFM physicians
• Assist with amniocentesis, amnio reduction, CVS, and PUBS procedures
• 1:1 patient ratio
• Uses GE ultrasound equipment, PACS, and Epic EMR
• 5x8 hour day shifts from 7:30 AM to 5:00 PM
• No nights, weekends, or major holidays required
• May float within scope to meet facility needs

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of experience as a Maternal Fetal Medicine Sonographer
• BLS, ARDMS OB/GYN, and Nuchal Translucency (NT) certifications required
• OB/GYN and outpatient experience required
• Epic EMR experience required
• Compact state license must be in hand at time of submission; license required if applicable
• Skills required include fetal anatomical survey, fetal echo, amniotic fluid index, nuchal translucency screen, umbilical cord doppler, and transvaginal imaging across 1st, 2nd, and 3rd trimester exams
• Two supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years required

Additional Information

• Perform detailed fetal and maternal sonography including fetal echo, anatomical surveys, and multiple pregnancy evaluations
• First-time travelers are accepted for this role
• May be required to float between sister facilities nearby
• Returning staff who previously worked at the facility as permanent employees must wait at least 3 months before returning as a travelers and cannot live within 50 miles of the facility
• Candidates must disclose any prior work history at a Providence facility as a permanent employee, traveler, or per-diem staff
• Scrubs of any color without prints are required
• Local candidates accepted within a 50 mile radius at a lower bill rate
• RTO requests must be submitted upfront at time of submission; post-submission requests may not be accommodated
• Expected to commit to working 3 of 5 major holidays
