Description
American Traveler is hiring a PACU RN for a 13-week day surgery contract requiring an active RN license (TX or compact), ACLS, and BLS.
Details
- Works in the PACU/day surgery department of a surgical hospital
- 10-bed unit staffed with 1 charge nurse and 6-7 nurses per day shift
- Patient ratio of 2:1
- Procedures include ortho, neuro, GU, ENT, and Gyn cases
- Uses glucometers, GE monitors, and bladder ultrasound equipment
- Charts in Meditech EMR
- Schedule is Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM
- No weekend or call requirements
Requirements
- Active RN license (TX or compact) required
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Minimum 1 year of recent PACU experience required
- No employment gaps of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
Additional Information
- Provide post-anesthesia recovery care to surgical patients across multiple specialties
- Team player mentality needed to keep pace with a busy unit
- Blue scrub color required
- Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility; no local candidates accepted
