Description

American Traveler is hiring an RN for a Cardiac Telemetry position requiring 2 years of cardiac tele experience and a CA RN license.

Details

• MedSurg/Cardiac Telemetry unit (3 West)
• Adult and geriatric patient population
• 4x12-hour night shifts, 1900-0730
• Every other weekend coverage, as needed
• Floating required to MedSurg/ED hold based on census
• Uses Omnicell medication system and EPIC for documentation
• SBAR communication system utilized

Requirements

• Active CA RN license required in hand at time of consideration
• Current BLS and NIHSS certifications required
• EKG test completed onsite
• Minimum 2 years of cardiac telemetry experience required
• EPIC charting experience required
• Skilled in interpretation and management of dysrhythmias
• Experience with pacemakers (temporary/permanent), post cardiac angiogram, post MI, pre/post cardiac cath, pre/post cardiac surgery, and TAVR
• Experience with IV insulin protocols, central/PICC/peripheral line care, blood product administration, and phlebotomy
• Experience with chest tubes, HFNC, ABG interpretation, and non-invasive airway management
• Experience with CBI, pre/post hemodialysis management, and renal failure care
• Experience with wound care/wound vac and isolation precautions
• 1 professional reference required (within 2 years)

Additional Information

• Provide direct patient care for cardiac telemetry patients including monitoring, dysrhythmia management, and use of rapid response/code teams
• Manage cardiac and vasoactive drips (no titration) and heparin protocols
• Care for post-surgical and ortho trauma patients including total joint replacement and surgical drains
• Scrub color requirement: navy blue or solid color

• Previous permanent staff at the facility are not eligible for consideration
• Local candidates accepted at a lower bill rate
• RTO must be submitted at time of consideration with no additions afterward
