Description

American Traveler is hiring an Oncology RN requiring 2 years of experience, ONS Chemo certification, and IVIG experience for a night shift assignment.

Details

• Oncology unit setting with Med/Surg and Telemetry patient care
• Night shift schedule, 3x12 hours, 1900-0730
• Required to work every other weekend
• Floating required to Med/Surg, Med/Tele, and ED units based on census
• No on-call requirements
• Epic EMR used, experience required
• Self-scheduling available

Requirements

• Active CA RN license required in hand at time of consideration
• BLS and ONS Chemo Certification required
• OCN certification preferred
• Minimum 2 years of oncology nursing experience required
• IVIG experience required
• Experience with IV therapy, central line care, PICC line management, and blood product administration
• Chemotherapy administration and monitoring experience
• Cardiac monitoring and dysrhythmia management skills
• Experience with BiPAP/CPAP, chest tubes, and oxygen administration
• Wound care and isolation precaution experience
• 1 professional reference required within 2 years

Additional Information

• Provide oncology nursing care including chemotherapy administration and monitoring
• Manage central lines, PICC lines, and peripheral IVs for patients
• Support cardiac monitoring and respond to dysrhythmias and rapid response situations
• Pre-approved time off must be submitted for manager approval prior to consideration
• First-time travelers are accepted for this role
• Previous permanent staff of the facility are not eligible for consideration
• Local candidates accepted at a lower rate if within 50 miles of the facility
