Description

American Traveler is hiring an Emergency Department RN with a VA or compact license and 2 years of ED experience for a 12-week assignment.

Details

Emergency Department setting within a hospital
12-hour mid shifts, either 11:00-23:00 or 13:00-01:00
Uses Epic EMR
No floating required
May require up to 6 weekend shifts within a six-week period if needed
No on-call responsibilities
Holiday coverage includes 1 major and 1 minor holiday

Requirements

Active VA or compact RN license required
Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department experience required

Additional Information

Candidates must reside outside a 50-mile radius to qualify for the travel rate, though local candidates are accepted at a lower rate
Returning permanent employees must wait 12 months after their last shift worked before reapplying

Highly critically ill patients with management keeping respiratory, nursing, and CNA staff greatly understaffed anf always falling behing. They also hire a large number of nurses whos English is not proficient for clear and reliable communications. Management falsifies documents and lies in HR correspondence. Very hard place to work if you’re not able to adjust to these land mines.
