Description

American Traveler is seeking a Travel RN for an Emergency Department position requiring TNCC certification and prior ED experience.

Details

• Work in the Emergency Care unit of a hospital setting
• Day shift schedule from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
• Every other weekend required
• 13-week assignment, full time

Requirements

• Active RN license in Texas or compact
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certification (AHA only)
• Current TNCC certification required
• 1 year of experience in emergency nursing preferred
• BSN preferred

Additional Information

• Provide nursing care across the nursing process including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation for ED patients
• Administer medications and treatments per protocol, monitoring for side effects and effectiveness
• Document patient history, symptoms, medication administration, and care provided
• Address complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families
• Provide patient and family education and identify needed resources
• Newly hired experienced RNs attend New Nurses Orientation within first 30 days of hire
• New hires are precepted by a trained staff member with competency validation specific to the Emergency Department
• Must reside within 50 miles of the facility for local rate consideration
• Previous CHRISTUS Health employees must have a 6-month separation period before being eligible for a travel assignment
