Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced Emergency Dept RN for a night shift travel assignment requiring TNCC certification and TX or compact RN licensure.

Details

• Work in the Emergency Care Department of a hospital setting
• 13-week travel assignment
• Night shift, 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Full time schedule
• Every other weekend requirement

Requirements

• Active RN license in TX or compact required
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications (AHA only) required
• Current TNCC certification required
• 1 year of experience in Emergency Dept nursing preferred
• BSN preferred

Additional Information

• Provide nursing care utilizing the nursing process including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation for assigned ED patients
• Administer medications and treatments, monitoring for side effects and effectiveness
• Document patient history, symptoms, medication, and care provided
• Address patient and family psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs
• Provide patient and family education on care and available resources
• Must reside within 50 miles of the facility
• Candidates who have previously worked at any CHRISTUS facility must have been separated for at least 6 months prior to consideration for this travel assignment
