Description

American Traveler is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist for a night shift hospital position supporting Adult ICU, ED, and NICU patients with 1-2 years of experience required.

Details

• Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts (7:00 PM-7:30 AM)
• Supports neonatal, infant, pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patient populations
• Will float within scope between Adult ICU/ED and NICU as needed
• Every third weekend required
• No on-call requirements
• Block scheduling may be accommodated when possible
• Epic charting system used
• Maroon/wine and black scrubs required

Requirements

• ACLS and BLS certifications required
• CRT will be considered; RRT and PALS preferred
• 1-2 years of Respiratory Therapy experience required
• Adult ICU, ED, and NICU experience required
• Intubation assistance, extubation, and airway management experience required
• Nasal and oral suctioning, tracheostomy care, and pulmonary hygiene experience required
• Experience caring for patients with ARDS, aspiration, COVID, fresh tracheostomies, and pneumonia required
• Ventilator management experience required, including BiPAP, CPAP, IMV/SIMV, and weaning from mechanical ventilation
• High Flow Nasal Cannula, oxygen therapy, and nebulizer treatment experience required
• Arterial puncture and ABG interpretation experience required
• Chest physiotherapy and respiratory treatment administration experience required
• Neonatal and pediatric respiratory support experience required, including apnea monitoring, high-risk delivery support, Bubble CPAP, and neonatal/pediatric ventilation
• Epic charting experience required
• Valid state license or certification required at time of consideration, if applicable
• Valid references and copies of certifications required for consideration

• First-time travelers will be considered
• Local candidates accepted within a 50-mile radius at a local rate differential
• One pre-approved time-off request permitted per contract
• Orientation length based on traveler's experience and department needs
• Teaching hospital, community hospital, and LTAC experience preferred
