Description

American Traveler is hiring an MRI Technologist to serve as a trainer and mentor for less experienced MRI staff, requiring 3+ years of MRI experience and Siemens equipment proficiency.

Details

• Hospital-based MRI department serving adult ICU, adult and pediatric outpatient, and ER/Trauma populations
• 4x10 hour day shifts, Tuesday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM
• No call and no weekends required
• Flexible holiday coverage to be coordinated with clinician
• Uses Siemens equipment, with GE PACS experience preferred
• Performs studies including abdomen/pelvis, head and neck, spine, chest, and musculoskeletal imaging

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of MRI experience in a registered capacity, including training and supporting less experienced staff
• ARRT MR, ARRT R, and BLS certification required
• Active compact or TN license required if applicable
• Epic EMR experience required within the past 18 months, clearly documented on profile
• Must pass Epic competency exam on site (only one attempt allowed)
• Siemens equipment experience required; GE PACS experience preferred
• Skills in contrast media preparation/administration, radiation safety, isolation precautions/PPE, and peripheral IV insertion

Additional Information

• Role includes training and mentoring less experienced MRI technologists
• Flu vaccine required during flu season (11/1-3/31); declinations and exemptions not accepted
• Candidates requiring fit testing must be clean-shaven
• First-time travelers and local candidates accepted at the same rate
• Travelers expected to float as needed unless otherwise specified
