Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery with Postpartum position requiring 4+ years of rural healthcare experience and a TX or compact RN license.

Details

• Critical access hospital with a 25-bed capacity Level 1 Maternal and Neonatal Care unit
• Department covers Labor and Delivery, Postpartum, Nursery, and Lactation
• Department typically staffed with 2 nurses, with most staff cross-trained in L&D, PP, and nursery roles
• Patient population includes a large transient community due to area plant construction
• Averages 15-20 deliveries per month
• Uses OBIX EMR system
• 12-hour night shift schedule, 7p-7a
• Rotating weekends and holidays required

Requirements

• Active TX or compact RN license required
• Minimum 4 years of experience required
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, and NRP
• Rural healthcare experience required
• Strong assessment skills required
• Electronic Fetal Monitoring (EFM) skills required
